Fanfare Favourites

As cliché as it is to talk about the weather and the fact that yet another month has disappeared in front of my eyes, it feels like the most apt way to start a brand new monthly round-up of inspirational weddingy stuff and things to add to my must-have/must-see/must-try list.  This last month has seen more than our fair share of rain and wind from wayward tropical storms but, even in the most trying of conditions, my couples’ smiles still outshine even the brightest autumn sunshine.

Whilst weddings quieten down a little from now to the end of the year, I’m still working behind the scenes to create bespoke ceremonies for my 2020 couples. I’m always on the look out for new inspiration whether that comes from lyrics or poetry or in extracts taken from literature. I also find I’m inspired by the seasons; by the weather; and by this incredible county that I am lucky to dwell in.

I’m also a little bit hooked on Pinterest. It’s been something I’ve dabbled in for a while and I don’t know about you, but when I start looking through boards I can very quickly disappear down the rabbit hole and not reappear until tea time! Above is a glimpse into my Feathers board – there are some truly awesome ideas on how to incorporate this delicate piece of nature.

Anyway, I digress!   Here are my faves for this month. I hope you enjoy. If you haven’t had a chance to look through the last couple of round-up posts, you can link to them here and here, or you can simply dip into my favourite things from this month and come back to the others later, if you feel the urge.

Until next time,

Fan xx

It was nigh on impossible to pick just one photo from the wedding below, but this one of Jenny’s sequined veil of joy is beautiful. I quote Green Wedding Shoes blog now, “So many creative people in one wedding!! Jenny’s mom and sister designed the fabric for the bridesmaids dresses. They made the gowns and also the ties for the bridesmen! They are absolutely stunning and so unique!!”

For those of you who celebrate Halloween all year round, I’ve started a board over on Pinterest with some ghoolish ideas.

I’m a big fan of Blue Fizz Events and am working with them on a number of weddings in the coming months. If you are looking for inspiration or help with co-ordinating an event or your wedding, give them a shout. They are a lovely bunch of humans!
