The Rockbeare Manor Wedding of Helena & Sam

My first wedding of the year was at Rockbeare Manor for Sam and Helena.  What a couple they are!  They met at university,  became best friends and are now blissfully happy as husband and wife.  Their love for one another is so clearly captured in these beautiful images taken by Tom Frost Photography.

Professionally they were utterly charming and an absolute pleasure to work with.  The ceremony was incredibly important to them and in their thank you note they said that it was indeed their favourite part of their day.  They knew what they wanted and poured their hearts and souls into it.

The ceremony was to be traditional but at the same time very personal and intimate, reflecting their great friendship, the development of it to a couple which of course so many of their guests had watched blossom and ultimately their marriage.

They wanted to celebrate the joy of being best friends, who will love each other forever with the friends who had been with them along the way and who during the ceremony would witness the culmination of their journey.

Together we managed to reflect all this with, as always,  a very healthy sprinkling of humour.   It was a wonderful example of all the benefits of  a celebrant-led ceremony.  The cherry on the cake for me was that they included my favourite hymn ‘Jerusalem’ which all the guests belted out.  Marvellous!!

A magical day and most definitely set the tone for the ceremonies to follow this year.
