I’m a hopeless romantic and simply love a celebration

I love being a luxury wedding celebrant

Before becoming a wedding celebrant, my husband and I ran a marquee and event hire business for over 20 years, supplying tents, furniture, and tableware for weddings and other special occasions. So, I have been in the wedding industry for a considerable time. Consequently, I know that every couple wants their wedding day to be special and unique. 

With this background, a love of storytelling, and my genuine interest in getting to know people, it felt like a natural transition to train to be a luxury wedding celebrant. I don’t regard being a celebrant as a job; it is more of a vocation. I’m a hopeless romantic and quite simply, I adore a good celebration. In fact, I absolutely love it and feel honoured and privileged to be playing such an important role in such a momentous life event.

Dance, Animals, food, shopping, friends

Beyond my work as a luxury wedding celebrant, I embrace life’s pleasures with enthusiasm and style. You’ll often find me dancing in the kitchen, swimming in the sea, following a day at the races, or striding across the countryside with my beloved labradors, Prudence and Martha.

I have a deep appreciation for good food, fine wine and great company — and London, of course, where my (now very grown-up) children live. Any excuse to head into town is welcome. I’ll usually weave together a theatre trip, an hour wandering the V&A, lunch with a friend, a little shopping — and very often a meeting with one of my wonderful London couples. It’s a city that inspires me endlessly.

Friends describe me as warm, kind and generous, with a wicked sense of humour. My couples tell me I’m relaxed, intuitive and reassuring — someone who instantly puts them at ease. Many say it feels less like hiring a supplier and more like gaining a friend, which I consider the greatest compliment of all.
