Tucked deep within the rolling countryside of Devon lies a venue that feels as though it has stepped out of a storybook. The Great Barn Devon is more than just a place for weddings or celebration.  It is a setting that embodies the full charm of rural England...

Wedding ceremony scripts can start to sound all the same especially if you’ve attended a lot of weddings. Particularly in the case of registrar-led ceremonies. Religious wedding ceremony scripts, while they follow established structures, often bring more natural variation through tradition, denomination, and the person leading them. But civil ceremonies bound by council frameworks, can feel strikingly similar.
The same phrases. The same structure. The same “insert couple here” moments dressed up as something meaningful. It’s not that these wedding ceremony scripts are bad . But they can feel functional, interchangeable and characterless. Like they’ve been lifted from a template with the gaps filled in.
And that’s because, in many cases, they have…

A new county to add to my ever-growing list of places I’ve been lucky enough to work. What a fabulous venue, and exactly the kind of elegant, sophisticated wedding I love being part of.
If you’re starting to plan your wedding and want a ceremony that honours the timeless traditions and solemnity of marriage, but with a fresh, modern feel, I could be your celebrant. Articulate, well-spoken, and passionate about creating meaningful moments, I may be based in Devon, but I will happily travel across the UK to lead your ceremony.

Spring is the busiest time for me as a celebrant. It’s when I meet all my clients whose weddings are being held in the summer. I often meet locally but also travel to London as many of them are based there. I spend a minimum of 2 hours with each couple. Listening to their story and generally getting to know them. Equally them me.
Some are nervous, some are excited, some find it difficult, some just love having the opportunity of talking about their happiness and lives. Without exception they all leave filled with anticipation for a glimpse of the first edit of their script.
Those hours we spend together are crucial and unique in your wedding planning. Rarely with another wedding supplier will you give so much of yourselves away and share so much information. Of course, you want to ‘like’ all your wedding suppliers but however tame it may sound, it is more important than ever that to get it right when you you choose your celebrant.
Could I be right for you? ✨

Your ceremony reimagined. 🩵 Imagine a ceremony wh Your ceremony reimagined. 🩵
Imagine a ceremony where the rules don’t apply. Where the vows aren’t read from a script you found online. Where the symbolic rituals reflect your journey, not a tradition that doesn’t fit. Where every word, pause, and glance is designed to reflect your love story.
That’s the freedom of a celebrant led ceremony: a space crafted just for you. No compromises. No templates. Just a celebration of your story in its most beautiful, authentic form. 🫶

A wedding ceremony might last 35 minutes. But, behind those 35 minutes. A completed questionnaire, meetings, stories shared with laughter, careful writing, editing, and shaping words that truly reflect a couple.
Because the best ceremonies never feel scripted they feel natural, warm, and completely authentic. When done well, it seems effortless.
A truly successful ceremony is shaped long before the first guest takes their seat... 🫶

Photographers know the difference. 🩵 If you asked Photographers know the difference. 🩵
If you asked a wedding photographer whether you should use a celebrant or a registrar, most would say: a celebrant every time.
Why?
📷 Because a professional wedding celebrant creates a ceremony that flows naturally, giving photographers the perfect moments to capture. They are truly flexible.
📷 Engages guests fully, so reactions are authentic and unforgettable.
📷 Ensures every word, pause, and glance tells a meaningful story.
Your ceremony isn’t just a formality it’s the moment your wedding is truly remembered.
